The 2016 Public Executive Institute took place in Austin, April 18-22. Eighteen students were challenged to rethink and learn new competencies for leadership. Sessions included Leadership in the 21st Century; The Resilient Organization; Strategies for Engagement; The Manager’s Role in Vision; Leading Change; Developing and Sustaining Climates for Creativity; Political Astuteness: Bridging the Gap Between Politics and Professionalism; Leading Through Big Disruptions; Leadership Development Planning; Implementation Strategies for Action; and Passions for the Profession.
